So what’s on my to read list

So after yesterday’s introduction about me and my blog, I thought I would today give you a run down of books that are currently on my to read list.

I am always on the look out for new books to read and I will spend time in bookshops looking through books, read newspaper reviews on books (I love the books section in the Saturday supplement of the Times), and read peoples reviews and thoughts through various good book sites.  Sometimes though I will also just decide to read a book because I like the look of it’s cover. Book covers for me can go a long way to give me an indication on whether I should be trying out an untried author.

So my current list of books to read in no particular order are :

The Sparsholt Affair by Alan Hollingshurst
The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks
Silent Victim by Caroline Mitchell
Dark in Death by JD Robb
Still Me by Jo Jo Moyes
The Perfectly Imperfect Woman by Milly Johnson
Cross Her Heart by Sarah Pinborough
Checking Out by Nick Spalding
Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews
The Cutting Edge by Jeffrey Denver
The Fallen by David Baldacci
Other People’s Homes by Abbi Waxman
Macbeth by Jo Nesbo
Dead Man’s Trousers by Irvine Welsh
The Female Persuasion by Meg Wolitzer

As you will see some of these books are by established authors and others are new up and coming authors. When looking to purchase something to read I mix my purchases between my trusted Kindle Paperwhite and buying actual physical books. To me an actual book can form part of the furniture in your home so if the cover is appealing to look at I tend to purchase the physical book or if it is by a certain author I really like I also buy the book. If not I simply just download a good read on my kindle and pick it up whenever I can.

So, I guess that’s enough from me now, I’m off to enjoy the first of warm(ish) English sunshine of the year and to cook a BBQ for my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 15th birthday !!

Have a good day
